The beginning of fall migration is truly a fun time to be a birder! Join us in exploring Heron Pond Trailhead at Riverlands. We'll check out a bird blind, look and listen for waterfowl, and discover migrating birds.
We recommend wearing closed-toed shoes, bring a water bottle, binoculars, if you have them, and download the Merlin Bird ID app to your phone.

Come see us at Pollinator Palooza! This is a free, fun, family-friendly festival and educational event celebrating and protecting essential pollinators, including bees, butterflies, birds, and beetles. Spend the day enjoying hands-on craft activities, native plant sales, and expert-led garden demonstrations. We'll be there along with other fantastic vendors.

Oh those squirrels! Always up to antics! Discover the mystery behind squirrel nut-caching behavior, test your recall skills with a fun memory game, take home your very own native tree seed, and have loads of fun.
This event is free for elementary-school aged kiddos.

 

Let's go on an incredible expedition through Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary! Kids are invited to bring binoculars and their guardians to join Wild Birds Unlimited and the Missouri Young Birders Club to explore nature while looking and listening for birds.
Please meet at the Audubon Center; we will drive together to the trailhead.
